The Program Manager serves as a key driver of technical customer projects within the Product Line organization, leading them through the realization phase from order intake to prototype execution and series production readiness at the foreseen manufacturing site. Acting as the primary technical interface and trusted partner to customers after order placement, the role combines structured project leadership with hands-on operational coordination.


Your responsibilities

  • End-to-End Project Execution: Lead technical customer projects from order intake through prototype validation to series production readiness, ensuring on-time, in-budget delivery and smooth operational handover.
  • Risk Management & Quality Planning: Develop detailed project plans, implement APQP methods and FMEAs for risk mitigation, and organize technical trials to validate parts against customer requirements.
  • Primary Customer Interface: Serve as the main technical contact for customers during execution, managing all specifications, validation reports, and proactive troubleshooting to ensure high satisfaction.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate internal and external teams across engineering, production, quality, and sales to align efforts and guarantee operational readiness.
  • Cost Control & Resource Optimization: Monitor project budgets, optimize personnel and resource usage, and maintain high economic effectiveness without compromising quality.
  • Continuous Improvement & Strategy: Drive post-project feedback loops and continuous improvement initiatives to align technical execution with broader business and strategic goals.


Our requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within automotive supplier or rubber manufacturing industry. Demonstrated success managing technical projects from order intake to production launch, including concept, prototyping, series validation, APQP/PPAP processes, and customer program execution.
  • Strong knowledge of product realization projects, rubber manufacturing (molding, post-molding, and validation), and quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
    Proficiency in core quality tools such as FMEA, APQP, PPAP, and SPC, to ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple technical customer projects simultaneously, from detailed planning and milestone tracking to full execution ownership, while aligning deliverables with strategic business goals, timelines, budgets, and operational excellence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Highly structured and organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Fluent English and German (both level C1) is needed.
