New Energy Nexus ( www.newenergynexus.com) is an international nonprofit organization supporting entrepreneurs and innovators building the future of clean energy. Across more than 15 countries, we accelerate startups, strengthen clean energy ecosystems, and develop market-based solutions that accelerate the global transition to a clean energy economy.

In Thailand, New Energy Nexus is building the country's clean energy workforce, supporting entrepreneurs, and strengthening the enabling ecosystem needed to rapidly scale distributed renewable energy.

The Role

The Program Manager will lead the design, implementation, and growth of New Energy Nexus Thailand's innovation and ecosystem development programs. Working across startup acceleration, corporate innovation, workforce development, and ecosystem engagement, this role combines strategic partnership development, fundraising, program management, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen Thailand's clean energy ecosystem.

Working closely with startups, corporates, government agencies, investors, universities, and international partners, the Program Manager will help develop and deliver high-impact initiatives that accelerate clean energy innovation and commercialization in Thailand.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Thailand's Climate Innovation Programs

Lead the implementation and growth of NEX Thailand's flagship programs across startup acceleration, corporate innovation, and ecosystem development.

• Lead the design and delivery of flagship programs including the Decarbonize Thailand Sandbox, Lab-to-Commercialization, startup acceleration initiatives, and ecosystem engagement activities.
• Manage program workplans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Ensure high-quality program delivery and participant experience.
• Develop monitoring, evaluation, learning, and impact reporting frameworks.
• Coordinate consultants, mentors, and implementation partners.
• Foster collaboration with NEX global and regional teams.

Build Strategic Partnerships

Represent NEX at conferences, industry forums, and strategic stakeholder engagements.

Develop and manage relationships with key ecosystem stakeholders including:

• Government agencies / Corporates and industry partners
• Universities and research institutions
• Investors and venture capital firms / Innovation ecosystem partners
• Startup founders and entrepreneurs

Fundraising & Business Development

Support the long-term growth and sustainability of NEX Thailand through strategic fundraising and partnership development.

• Build and manage a pipeline of government, foundation, corporate, and philanthropic funding opportunities.
• Develop high-quality grant proposals, concept notes, and partnership proposals.
• Cultivate relationships with existing and prospective funding partners.
• Identify new opportunities for strategic partnerships and program expansion.
• Support annual planning, OKRs, and organizational growth initiatives.

Startup & Corporate Engagement

Support the growth of Thailand's clean energy innovation ecosystem by connecting entrepreneurs with commercial opportunities.

• Engage climate technology startups throughout their commercialization journey.
• Facilitate corporate-startup collaborations and pilot opportunities.
• Support startup mentoring, business development, and market access activities.
• Coordinate investor engagement and showcase events.
• Build partnerships that strengthen Thailand's clean energy innovation ecosystem.

Program Operations & Reporting

• Manage donor-funded projects and grant compliance.
• Track program budgets, KPIs, and project deliverables.
• Prepare donor reports, presentations, and impact communications.
• Support NEX Thailand's operational, legal, and administrative compliance.
• Ensure finance, procurement, and governance processes align with local and global standards.

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Public Policy, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in program management, consulting, entrepreneurship support clean energy sector.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working with government agencies, corporates, donors, or international organizations.
• Strong proposal writing and fundraising experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Thai and English are required.
• Ability to travel throughout Thailand and internationally as required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following:

• Climate technology or clean energy sector
• Startup acceleration or innovation ecosystem development
• Corporate innovation or sustainability
• Management consulting
• Venture capital, startup investment, or fundraising

This position is initially offered as a one-year contract. As NEX continues to expand its clean energy programs in Thailand, there may be opportunities for extension depending on program evolution and future funding.
