About the position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager to join an established team at Kongsberg Automotive. This position involves close collaboration with colleagues and customers across Europe so if you are self motivated, with a background in Automotive Engineering and enjoy supporting and working closely with people across the globe, this may be the position for you.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end product development and industrialization projects in a dynamic automotive environment.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams, driving collaboration and delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Act as the key interface between customers, operations, engineering, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, maximizing project profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee manufacturing readiness, including process validation, tooling implementation, prototype builds, and production launches.
  • Monitor project performance through KPIs, risk management, and strategic planning to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering innovative solutions that meet technical, commercial, and quality requirements.
  • Contribute to the successful launch of new products and production lines while supporting long-term business growth.

Requirements

If you have strong organisation and time management skills and feel that you have a systematic and positive approach to dealing with issues this may be the right position for you.

To be successful in the role you must have:

• BCs in Industrial engineering.
• High level of spoken and written English (compulsory) and German (recommended).
• 5 to 10 years of previous experience in the automotive sector in production, processes, metal and plastic product development departments.
• Proven experience in international project management and team management.
• Analytical profile with orientation to results and development of people.
• Communication skills, teamwork, initiative and time management.
• Knowledge in problem solving tools (Kaizen, 8D, etc.) and process audits.
• Power Office user (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Knowledge in IATF 16949:2016
• APQP Knowledge
• Recommended knowledge in SAP and PLM
• Desirable SAP experience
