Thales is seeking an experienced and resilient Program Manager for the flagship NextGen initiative—a next-generation “system of systems” project designed to revolutionise digital transformation and integrated operations across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
NextGen represents a ground-breaking, multinational effort that exceeds the scale and ambition of previous projects such as OneSKY.
As Program Manager, you will drive the integration of advanced digital platforms, including the innovative TopSky suite, contributing to the modernization of critical infrastructure for airspace management and related domains.
With major delivery centres located in Singapore, France, and Australia, you will play a pivotal role in uniting a diverse and talented global team, ensuring the seamless deployment of complex work packages and state-of-the-art digital solutions.
Working from our Melbourne Office in the World Trade Centre on Wurundjeri land, your role purpose will be –
Define and execute program strategy, schedules, and deliverables for a transformative, multi-year technology program.
Coordinate and inspire cross-functional teams across three countries and time zones.
Own internal program delivery, focusing on work-package management, risk analysis, and proactive problem-solving in a political and fast-paced environment.
Oversee program finances, forecasting, and contractual management, ensuring compliance, transparency, and efficient resource use.
Foster close collaboration with regional stakeholders (including senior leaders in Australia, Singapore, and France) and drive alignment across geographies.
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
Deep experience in large-scale, multi-national program management, ideally in aerospace, or complex digital engineering environments.
Exceptional resilience and business acumen, with a proven record of managing diverse, high-stakes stakeholder relationships.
Must have strong financial, schedule, contract, and risk management skills.
An understanding of engineering and systems integration.
High-level leadership capabilities and confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively across cultures and global markets
