Program Manager

The Program Manageris responsible foroverseeing and coordinating progress of multiple projects within a program, managing dependencies across projects/workstreams, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectivesThis role coordinates cross-functional teams, manages budgets and resources, mitigates risks,mentorsandcoachesProject Managers within their program, and communicates regularly with stakeholders to ensure program successThis role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex initiatives from conception to completionThis role also includes direct project management responsibilities as needed. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge and experience with complex workflows.

Hybrid position--must be able to work on-site at Sentara Park, Virginia Beach, Virginia several days per week; including training periods

Education

  • High School / GED(Required)

  • Bachelor’sDegree (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure

  • One of the following certificationsor equivalent, but must obtain within 1 year of hire:

  • Project Management Institute Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM)

  • Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Project Management Institute Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP)

  • Project Management InstituteProgram Management Professional (PgMP)

  • Scrum,SAFeor equivalent

Experience

  • 6+years of experience inprogram orprojectmanagementwith a proventrack recordin managing large-scale, complex projectsor programs(Required) 8+ years of experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholder relationships.

  • Healthcare experience

  • Care delivery (ambulatory, hospital, post-acute), health plan, corporate/shared services,and/or technical project managementexperience

  • Will have technical knowledge and experience with complex workflows
