NG Space Systems is looking for a Manager, Program Level 3 to provide leadership as a Program Manager for a critical program within the Mission Exploitation (MEX) Operating Unit (OU) portfolio supporting the Advanced Tactical Missions (ATM) Business Unit in the fast-growing Multi-Domain Operations Division (MDOD) in Aurora, Colorado.

The selected candidate will report to the Operating Unit Director and serve as a key member of the leadership team for the evolving MEX OU Portfolio. The primary objective will be the delivery of all contractual requirements for the program on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and capabilities. The individual will lead a matrixed-functional team aligned to common program performance goals through inception of idea to award and completion of scope.

The candidate selected for this position would be involved in program execution, cost, schedule, staffing, team building, customer satisfaction, compliance with organizational processes and procedures, maintaining relationship with and keeping program leadership and Government customer apprised of program status.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set vision, lead, and manage a ~35-person diverse team of Software, Integration, Test, User Experience, and Systems Engineers as a Program Manager.

  • Execute day to day operations of the Agile product team ensuring efficient and timely execution of all aspects of the mission.

  • Lead by example. Set a vision and implement a strategy of leading a set of leaders on a cross-functional team to drive collective team successes.

  • Interface directly with the Customer, Business Management, Contracts, Engineering, and other functional/support teams in support of program objectives, technical integrity, customer expectations, and schedule.

  • Operate in a team environment and collaborate across the organization as required to accomplish the team goals.

  • Owner of the product teams’ scope, budget, and schedule for all associated WBS element items on the contract.

  • Develop and implement team structures, organizational framework, and processes to optimize productivity and foster a high-performing, cohesive, and collaborative team environment.

  • Assist Leadership and the customer with proposals and other contract modifications.

  • Collaborate closely with the customer and team leaders, to include technical team leaders, to set the vision, schedule, and plan to support future software and system builds and strategies.

  • Ensure engineering standards and product quality standards are met.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years, or master’s degree and 8 years experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or program management in other industries

  • 7 years’ experience with functional and/or technical leadership experience

  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI Access at time of application

  • Experience with customer and stakeholder relationship management

  • Proven presentation/briefing development experience

  • Organization and execution of tasks and projects experience

  • Problem solving skills of technical, organizational, and personnel issues

  • Supporting U.S. Government proposal activities that includes BOE development, Integrated Master Schedule input, and writing contributions on multiple proposal activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of the Army and its elements including knowledgeable of tactical systems.

  • Experience delivering products and services on Army programs in accordance with quality and technical integrity standards.

  • Understanding and strategic vision for best utilization of JIRA to manage team’s effort to include tracking metrics and performance.

  • Track record as an effective collaborator, communicator and problem solver who can develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience developing capabilities to build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching.

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Broad skill set that is balanced between interpersonal, business, and technical capabilities.

  • Understanding of software technologies, software principles, and systems engineering, particularly an understanding of agile software modernization strategies.

  • Experience building a high performing team and facilitating conflict resolution within the team.

Primary Level Salary Range: $193,000.00 - $241,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
