Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Program Manager to oversee the successful implementation of the iFlight suite at customer sites. The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing complex Tier 1 application implementations, strong project management skills, and a deep understanding of the aviation and flight operations domain. You will lead cross-functional teams, ensure customer satisfaction, and ensure that the iFlight suite is successfully deployed, integrated, and operational in accordance with client requirements. Your leadership will be key in navigating complex technical challenges and ensuring smooth delivery from initiation through to post-deployment support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of the iFlight suite (including crew and aircraft tracking, flight management systems, etc.) at customer sites, ensuring that all phases of the project (planning, design, execution, and support) are successfully executed.
  • Manage end-to-end project delivery, including overseeing project timelines, resources, budgets, risks, and communication between internal teams and the customer.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the implementation process, ensuring effective communication, issue resolution, and relationship management.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, product management, engineering, and support teams to define project requirements, expectations, and deliverables based on customer needs.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and integration of the iFlight suite at the customer’s site, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate and manage the involvement of Tier 1 application experts, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure successful system integration and deployment.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan, including detailed schedules, risk assessments, resource allocation, and clear communication to all stakeholders.
  • Drive the adoption of the iFlight suite by providing clear guidance and training to customer teams, ensuring they are empowered to use the system effectively.
  • Provide regular status updates to customers and internal leadership, highlighting project progress, milestones, and potential roadblocks.
  • Ensure a smooth post-implementation transition, including facilitating training, handovers to support teams, and gathering customer feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for system optimization, process improvements, and additional features based on customer feedback and operational needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to foster long-term partnerships and identify further growth opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, business analysts, and implementation specialists, ensuring alignment and coordination in the execution of customer projects.
  • Ensure that the project meets all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance guidelines for aviation and flight operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of program management experience, with a proven track record of managing Tier 1 application implementations in complex environments (preferably in the aviation, flight operations, or enterprise software sectors).
  • Extensive experience in managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects involving software, hardware, and system integration.
  • Strong knowledge of the aviation industry, including flight management systems, crew scheduling, aircraft tracking, and related regulatory standards (FAA, EASA, ICAO).
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of business process modeling, system architecture, and integration practices in large enterprise systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage risk, troubleshoot technical challenges, and provide innovative solutions.
  • Previous experience in managing customer-facing projects, ensuring the successful deployment of complex software solutions.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Experience working with Tier 1 enterprise applications and large, high-profile customers.
  • Experience in working with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and understanding of modern software deployment practices.
  • PMP, Agile, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in managing projects in the aviation sector, particularly with flight operations, aircraft tracking, or crew management solutions.
  • Knowledge of integration frameworks, APIs, and working with third-party vendors in an enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with system performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization for large-scale deployments.
  • Experience in customer training and support for complex software products.
