The North Kirkland Community Center is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Program Instructor II – Preschool to lead a variety of parent/child and preschool programs for young children ages 1–5. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys creating fun, active, and age-appropriate learning experiences while building positive relationships with children and their families.

The instructor may also have opportunities to teach additional preschool and parent/child classes based on interest, experience, and program needs. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with young children, enjoys leading groups, and can create a welcoming and energetic environment for both children and caregivers.
Experience teaching preschool, early childhood education, recreation, movement, tumbling, science, or similar youth programs is preferred.
Physical Demands and Working Environment: Work may be performed in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings, including City facilities such as community centers, City parks, Lake Washington School District facilities and off-site locations. Work settings may involve high levels of noise, many people, adverse weather conditions, uneven terrain, standing for extended periods of time, and interruptions. Desk assignments are done at a computer terminal.
