Job Posting Description

The Program Administration Manager II is responsible for managing one or more programs by overseeing planning, implementation, budgeting, and operational performance. This role partners with senior leadership to establish strategic goals, lead business process improvements, manage projects, and ensure programs are delivered effectively. The position also provides leadership to staff, develops internal systems and resources, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to advance departmental and organizational objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of program goals and objectives in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Develop budget proposals, monitor expenditures, and recommend resources and equipment to support program operations.
  • Lead business change management initiatives, including process redesign, staff training, and development of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage project scope, timelines, and deliverables through formal project and change management processes.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks and issues to ensure successful project execution.
  • Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and develop staff to promote operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Conduct program and departmental needs assessments, analyze performance, and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain internal systems, tools, and materials that support program delivery and services.
  • Provide technical guidance, policy interpretation, and procedural support to staff and organizational stakeholders.
  • Develop, coordinate, or oversee workshops, seminars, orientations, and other educational programs.
  • Oversee the creation of informational materials, forms, and resources that support departmental initiatives.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with hospital staff, faculty, and external organizations to support program objectives.

Minimum qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience managing programs, budgets, projects, and cross-functional initiatives preferred.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to navigate sensitive interpersonal situations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Experience leading business process improvement and organizational change initiatives.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage competing deadlines.

Licensure/Certification

  • No licensure or certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor certifications preferred within two years of hire.
