Program & Events Coordinator (Part-Time 17.5 hrs/wk)

Play a key role in the success of the ACME program by managing daily operations, advancing long-term student support initiatives, and providing high-level support to program faculty.

What you’ll do in this position:

Program Operations, Events & Administration

  • Coordinate and execute ACME program events (including the speaker series)
  • Support the program director and faculty with program operations and administrative needs
  • Partner with campus departments to support program success

Student Advising & Program Support

  • Support ACME student advising
  • Concentration/MAP tracking
  • Faculty mentoring connections
  • Supervision of undergraduate lab TAs (including recruitment support).

Communications & Outreach

  • Lead ACME program communications across email, website, Discord, and newsletters—managing the Discord community (~500 students/alumni), maintaining web content, and producing a semiannual newsletter.

What qualifies you for this role:

Required

  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Tech-savvy and willing to learn new technical tools
  • Friendly, proactive, and willing to build rapport with others
  • Reliable and able to manage tasks independently

Preferred

  • Interest in or familiarity with mathematics
  • Prior experience in event planning, office support, or academic programs
  • Experience administrating and supporting a large academic program with many moving parts

Pay Grade: 48

Typical Starting Pay: $20.25 to $26.50 an hour
