We are currently looking for a Program Engineering Specialist (m/f/d) - Chinese OEM to join us at our facility in Wuppertal
Key responsibilities:
Act as technical spokesperson translating the ‘Voice of Customer’ into improvement initiatives and product development
Technical contact & responsibility for Chinese OEM customers in EMEA
Provide customer input for Product Plans
Support customer projects (LWRs, FWRs, EPMs), prioritize project portfolio, coordinate the activities of other business functions (including Technology, Marketing, Sales, Operations and other business units) and make sure that commitments/milestones are achieved.
Support/Lead and coordinate product quality investigations/complaints incl problem-solving and report results through SalesForce
Provide technical guidance and consultancy on technical problems and complaints to the customer as well as the Technical Service Team in cooperation with the R&D organisation to develop rapid customer response and problem solution
Support Program Manager during Product Approval Process so that portfolio of customer approved technologies are aligned with growth strategy
Support product launches and technology transfer
Support Program Manager during VMI process
Prepare presentation, reports and reviews for external and internal stakeholders
Support Customer Business Team
Implement information bridge between Europe and Asia
Key requirements:
BS degree in Chemistry, Engineering or another applied sciences preferred.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of automotive, chemical or related industry experience
Knowledge of paint formulation and application processes
Experience working in an R&D environment and bringing new products to market is highly preferred.
Proven project management skills incl knowledge and expertise in the different methodologies, standards and tools.
Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with data-based decision-making capability.
Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into product offerings / solutions.
Strong communication and networking skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization and customers.
Convincing, focused and structured personality.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate cross functional business teams.
Proficiency in MS Office
Fluent in Chinese and English
Knowledge of the Chinese lifestyle and culture would be desirable.
Ability to travel up to 50% in EMEA/China
