About the role

As a Program Educator, you’ll help create engaging, safe and meaningful experiences for school-aged children before school, after school and during school holiday programs.

You will:

• Create fun, engaging and inclusive experiences that reflect Jabiru’s philosophy and the My Time, Our Place Framework
• Build genuine, trusting relationships with children, families, colleagues and school partners
• Support children’s wellbeing, inclusion, agency and voice through play-based experiences
• Contribute ideas and enthusiasm to a positive team environment
• Work collaboratively with your team to deliver a high-quality OSHC program
• Follow policies, procedures and compliance requirements with a strong focus on child safety
• Help create a space where every child feels welcomed, valued and connected

About you

You genuinely enjoy spending time with school-aged children and understand how important OSHC can be in a child’s day.

You are:

• Warm and approachable, with a genuine interest in children and their wellbeing
• A strong communicator who builds positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Collaborative, respectful and comfortable working as part of a team
• Creative and curious, with a willingness to try new ideas and experiences
• Reliable and responsible, with a strong commitment to child safety
• Open to learning, reflection and professional growth
• Someone who wants to contribute to a workplace where people feel safe, included and valued

What you’ll need

You’ll have one of the following:

• Certificate III in School Age Education, Early Childhood Education, Education Support, Youth Work or another qualification recognised by ACECQA
• Or an equivalent qualification, including more than one year of full-time university study in areas such as: Education, Creative Arts Drama, Music, Community Services, Behavioural Science, Nursing, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Sport & Recreation
• A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Current First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain
