About the Role
Avivo’s Ending Homelessness Division believes safe housing for all is a social justice issue—and an intrinsic human right. As the Program Director, Transitional Recovery Lodging, you will provide leadership for a critical housing program serving single adults and families who are participating in Avivo’s Intensive Outpatient (245G) treatment services.
This role blends mission‑driven leadership, staff development, compliance oversight, and partnership building. You will oversee program operations, supervise program managers, manage contracts and budgets, and ensure services are delivered with dignity, cultural responsiveness, and alignment with Housing First and Harm Reduction principles.

What You’ll Do
- Provide overall leadership for the Transitional Recovery Lodging program serving single adults and families participating in Avivo’s Intensive Outpatient (245G) services
- Supervise, coach, and develop Program Managers to ensure high‑quality, recovery‑oriented services
- Ensure programs operate in alignment with Housing First, Harm Reduction, and trauma‑informed principles
- Oversee compliance with licensing, funding, DHS, and Board & Lodge requirements
- Partner with treatment teams and respond to complex or urgent participant needs
- Monitor program outcomes, demographics, and reporting to meet funder and Avivo expectations
- Manage program budgets, track financial performance, and communicate risks or changes
- Support audits, ethical practice, and accurate documentation using Credible and related systems
- Hire, onboard, and hold staff accountable through clear expectations and timely feedback
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and community partners to support housing stability
Schedule: This position works a 32-hour reduced work week while being paid for 40 hours.

QualificationsWhat You Bring
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience working with adults affected by homelessness, mental health, and/or substance use
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a behavioral health setting
- Commitment to culturally responsive, participant‑centered services
Preferred
- Master’s degree in a mental health field
- Licensure or near‑licensure (LSW, LGSW, LISW, LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, Psy.D., LADC)
- Experience with program or operations management
- Experience using electronic health records
