Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight management. and supervision to Barnett Program.
  • Responsible for: interviewing, hiring, evaluating all staff.
  • Schedule: monthly supervision of staff, as well as monthly staff meetings.
  • Participate in professional development training.
  • Participate in internal and external committee meetings.
  • Prepare board reports, and present at board meetings.
  • Prepare monthly reports to submit to supervisor.
  • Plan innovative events and activities for residents at Barnett.
  • Supervise staff, interns, and volunteers.
  • Develop case management plan with client profile, needs assessment, service plan, tracking forms, and release forms for participants.
  • Conduct outreach to the residents of Barnett to provide flyers, newsletters, and updates related to Phipps Neighborhoods Programs.
  • Conduct surveys of the needs of residents at Barnett.
  • Provide ongoing case management to ensure residents’ needs are met.
  • Organize, promote, and implement recreation, education, and cultural activities.
  • Liaison with local service providers and community-based organization.
  • Prepare monthly reports and maintain related records as required.
  • Make referrals to: Financial Counseling, and host financial workshops on site with local financial institutions.
  • Support residents with rent arrears, recertifications, applying for benefits and one shot deals, and relocations.
  • Ensuring that residents are enrolled in educational & training opportunities, as well as workforce development.
  • Conduct outreach for residents to participate in weekly projects, special events, and activities.
  • Ensure that orders are placed in Yardi, and that bills are paid with invoices.
  • Input document information into database system Salesforce.
  • Identify volunteers or local partner organizations to facilitate workshops.
  • Complete staff performance evaluation.
  • Coordinate with Phipps Neighborhoods Programs to enroll residents into programs.
  • Serve as liaison to NYC agencies and community stockholders.
  • Create local partnerships to provide residents with resources to support their various needs in: health, mental health, food pantries, workforce, financial institutions.
  • Meet monthly with Property Management Team.
  • Hold quarterly Partnership meetings to identify the needs of the program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or Human Services, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to handle web-based databases to input client data daily.

Salary Range: $70,000-$75,000 annually based on experience, skillset, and credentials

Location: Sunnyside, Queens, NY

Schedule: Full Time; on-site
