What You’ll Do

Provide Care and Leadership

  • Guide the day-to-day operations of the treatment center, ensuring patients receive high-quality, compassionate care from admission through ongoing treatment.
  • Oversee key clinical and operational functions, including admission, medication services, patient processing, chart preparation, and coordination with community partners.
  • Foster a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff.
  • Address patient concerns, complaints, and grievances with professionalism and empathy.
  • Respond to urgent occupational issues, including after-hours situations as needed.

Management and Initiative

  • Monitor program performance, analyze operational metrics, and identify opportunities to improve processes and patient outcomes.
  • Manage revenue collection and oversee expenditures to ensure the treatment center operates responsibly within budget.
  • Develop staff schedules that balance patient needs, team well-being, and operational efficiency while minimizing overtime.

Team Building

  • Oversee staff onboarding and create opportunities for growth, learning, and career advancement.
  • Lead regular staff meetings, case conferences, and intervention discussions that encourage collaboration.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and guide the team through continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Ensure all team members maintain required licenses, certifications, and continuing education requirements.
  • Partner with Human Resources on recruiting, hiring, employee relations, performance management, and retention to build a strong, engaged workforce.
  • Foster an inclusive and respectful workplace where every team member feels supported and empowered to do their best work.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting agency requirements while communicating regulatory updates to staff.

Qualifications

  • Must have 2-3 years of management experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Professional certifications or licensure related to the role.
  • Experience managing substance use disorder treatment programs.
  • Leadership experience overseeing operations, compliance, safety, accreditation, and quality of care.
  • Experience serving economically and culturally diverse communities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
  • Ability to identify operational challenges and develop long-term solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound leadership, integrity, and professional judgement.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of ethical standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and word processing software.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced clinical environment with period of increased activity.
  • Exposure to patients with substance use disorders, mental health conditions, infectious diseases, and criminal justice involvement.
  • Prolonged standing, bending, and stooping.
  • Alternating between sitting and standing throughout the workday.
  • Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
  • Frequent keyboarding and computer use.
