The Learning and Engagement (L&E) Branch in the PSC designs and delivers training and recognition programs for the Alberta Public Service (APS) to help the workforce achieve its goals.

As a Program Delivery Coordinator, you’ll support APS-wide learning and recognition programs that help public servants build the skills and confidence they need to deliver on government priorities. You’ll work closely with program managers and team members to coordinate logistics, maintain materials, and ensure program participants have a positive experience.

The Program Delivery Coordinator is a core enabler for L&E programming across the APS. In this role, you will:

• Coordinate logistics: Schedule sessions, manage registration, and ensure all the moving parts are in place for successful delivery.
• Support participants and clients: Respond to inquiries, gather feedback, and ensure accurate communication of program details.
• Maintain program materials: Prepare, update, and organize content using templates and process documents.
• Track and organize: Use tracking tools to monitor tasks, maintain records, and flag issues or delays.
• Collaborate with purpose: Work with internal teams and stakeholders to support program delivery and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to improvements: Identify ideas for process enhancements and share suggestions with your manager.

Qualifications

Minimum Recruitment Standard University graduation in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Public Policy or a related field.

Equivalency Related education or experience is considered on the basis of:

• 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
• 1 year of experience for 1 year of education

Other requirements (i.e. “must haves” to be considered for the role)

• Familiarity with APS department structures and organizational policies;
• Knowledge of APS corporate systems (e.g. 1GX).

Assets (i.e. “nice to haves”)

• Experience providing corporate services within the APS or another large public sector organization;
• Experience drafting correspondence and written briefings for APS leadership.

Location and Hour of Work

• Downtown Edmonton, with on-site attendance required to meet the operational needs of the role.
• Monday to Friday, 8:15 am to 4:30 pm. Hours of work are 7.25 hours per day / 36.25 hours per week. Modified work hours may be available on a case-by-case basis, subject to government policy and operational viability.

Any costs associated with obtaining the required documents/checks as noted or interview travel expenses, will be the responsibility of the candidate. Out-of-province applicants can obtain the required documents/checks from the province they currently reside in.
