
General Overview
The Summer Academic Bootcamp Program Coordinator will oversee the coordination and evaluation of a summer academic mentoring program serving rising college students prior to the start of their first academic year. The program introduces aspiring health sciences students to foundational academic concepts, university resources, and supportive mentoring relationships that promote successful transition into college life and the development of skills that support academic success. The Coordinator will collaborate closely with faculty to solicit finalized curricular materials, organize field trips and experiential learning opportunities, ensure high-quality program delivery, and begin the process of program evaluation. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, experience in student support or academic enrichment programs, a background in the health sciences, and experience with collecting and analyzing data.
This role is primarily on-campus, with the requirement to be on campus daily during the two-week summer program. Some evening or weekend commitments for program activities will be required. The person selected for this role may also supervise student assistants or upper class “near peers.” This position is funded by a foundation grant and reports to the Dean of the Center for Research and Discovery. The tentative dates of employment for this position are mid-April through end of August 2026.

The pay range associated with this posting reflects the amount the University reasonably expects to pay for this role at this time. Salary offers are determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications as well as internal equity, market data and pay in comparison to similarly situated employees doing comparable work.
Hiring Range: $34.84-$38.65/hour
