JOB TITLE: 

Program Coordinator, Senior  

JOB PURPOSE:

To provide operational management and administrative support for the Early Care and Education Center (ECEC). This position assists the Director in the day-to-day execution of center operations, ensuring the facility functions as a high-quality clinical school and research hub through effective staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and administrative efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operational Execution:Support the Director in the daily management of the center, ensuring classrooms and staffing are running smoothly.
  • Personnel Management: Provide direct supervision, coaching, and mentorship to classroom staff; assist in hiring, onboarding, and the annual evaluation process.
  • Regulatory Compliance:Ensure daily adherence to state licensing requirements, university safety standards, and NAEYC accreditation criteria; maintain accurate records for the federal food program.
  • Administrative Coordination:Manage staff scheduling and classroom coverage; oversee the procurement of supplies and materials; assist the Director in monitoring operational budget expenditures.
  • Program Assessment Support:Assist with data collection for program evaluations and the implementation of professional development plans to drive instructional excellence.
  • Facility & Safety Oversight:Serve as a point of contact for facility maintenance and safety protocols to ensure a secure and high-functioning environment for children and university students.
  • Family & Community Support:Assist in maintaining proactive family communication; help coordinate community access to the center’s resource hub and collaborative spaces.
  • Research & Clinical CoordinationAssist the Director in scheduling and accommodating faculty research and university student placements within the classrooms.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Experience: 3 years work-related experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Earned Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and classroom-level coaching.
  • Experience in a university-based early childhood program or NAEYC-accredited facility.
  • Knowledge of state licensing regulations and federal food program requirements.
  • Demonstrated skill in utilizing data for classroom or program-level improvement.

WORK LOCATION:

On-Campus This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus, understanding our location is at 7,220 feet above sea level.
