Information Management is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating IM policies, systems, standards and practices to enable the City to manage its records and information holdings in a cost-effective and coordinated manner throughout their entire lifecycle with due regard for information security, organizational accountability, program/service delivery, legislation, economy and efficiency.
You are responsible to design, develop and implement programs and services for records operations and IM training. You: coordinate the operational direction of a team of Information Management staff; implement and ensure the consistent, effective and efficient delivery of decentralized and centralized records operations and IM training program, in accordance with relevant legislation and municipal by-laws, policies, procedures and regulations; provide strong leadership with advanced knowledge of all aspects related to Information Management; identify opportunities for continuous improvement; and contributes to the overall strategic direction and operations of the Unit.
You also reward excellent performance, take the necessary steps to increase staff performance using proven coaching/mentoring techniques, and establish and maintain a positive working relationship with clients and internal and external stakeholders.
Completion of 3 year university degree in a related field
Minimum of 5 years of Information Management experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity managing the provision of effective and efficient client service
