The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Metro Region is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Metro Residential Services Program Coordinator. This position is based out of our Metro Regional Office in Waltham and works directly with Metro Residential Services (MRS), a division of DDS Metro that operates 20 group homes in the Boston area for adults with disabilities. The MRS Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of several assigned programs and activities that support people with disabilities in achieving their life vision while navigating the ISP process. This includes coordinating DDS's Urban Youth internship program, as well as reviewing and analyzing data, providing technical assistance, and responding to inquiries related to the Quality of Life and Quality Enhancement programs that are designed to help individuals served by MRS lead more fulfilling lives.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and monitor Urban Youth internship program activities in order to ensure effective operations and compliance with program standardsProvide technical assistance to Urban Youth program participants as well as internal MRS staffRespond to questions from agency staff and others in order to provide information concerning the Urban Youth programProvide on-the-job training and orientation for staff and participants of the Urban Youth program.Confer with management staff and other agency personnel in order to determine that program requirements are being metServe as liaison to Human Rights Committee providing support and coordinator of meetingsDevelop and distribute annual human rights information to individuals and guardians on an annual basisCoordinate and monitor Quality of Life and QE programs for MRS in order to ensure program integrity and criteria are being met with the resources availableDevelop and implement procedures and guidelines to ensure these agency program objectives and goals are metReview and analyze homes visit meetings, including reviewing AMES books for completeness and accuracyWork collaboratively with the Metro Regional Director and Metro Residential Services Director to provide technical assistance to support MRS programs that help individuals reach their goals and improve their quality of lifeProvide on-the-job training on how services are to be provided to adhere to the high quality of service that is expectedDevelop and implement procedures to ensure program effectivenessDevelop and implement procedures to prepare MRS for QE certificationDevelop and implement monthly program calendars for MRS as an agency as well as for the residential homesLiaison with various private, local and state agencies in order to exchange information and resolve problemsAttend Diversity Committee meeting serving as member/chairOther duties as assigned Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of resources for self-advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities.Ability to apply conflict resolution skills.Demonstrated ability to work with adults with developmental disabilities.
