The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) seeks a collaborative, detail-oriented Program Coordinator to help shape and support a vibrant culture of teaching, learning, and professional growth.
In this highly visible role, the Program Coordinator partners closely with the CTL Director to plan, coordinate, and administer a wide range of programs that support faculty development and academic excellence. From signature events and workshops to grants, guest speakers, and faculty engagement initiatives, the coordinator plays a pivotal role in translating ideas into impactful experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage key CTL initiatives, including:
- Community Fridays
- Summer workshop programs
- Portions of New Faculty Orientation
- Visiting scholars and guest speaker events
- Additional programs and grant-funded initiatives within the CTL portfolio
- Serve as a central partner to the CTL Director and collaborate closely with CTL staff to advance the center's mission and strategic goals.
- Oversee the administrative and operational aspects of CTL programming, including budgeting, scheduling, contracts, event logistics, and resource management.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with faculty, staff, campus partners, guest presenters, and external organizations.
- Act as a key point of contact for CTL programs, ensuring clear, professional, and timely communication across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Anticipate challenges, manage competing priorities, and ensure programs are executed with excellence and attention to detail.
- Integrate risk management and sound decision-making practices into all aspects of program planning and implementation.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five years of applicable experience at an advanced administrative level
- Experience promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to independently organize and manage workloads in an efficient manner
- Strength in developing relationships with internal and external partners
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience supervising student employees.
