
The Salvation Army’s Kroc Community Center is hiring a Program Coordinator for Seniors and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:
Location Ray & Joan Kroc Community Center, 650 Dudley Street, Dorchester, MA 02125
Hours/week: 20 Hours per week
Exemption: Non-exempt
Pay Range $18 - $21 per hour
*starting pay varies depending on experience and qualifications*
FUNCTION
Plans, organizes, and implements recreation programs for senior citizens such as social-recreation activities, arts and crafts, educational programs, and trips/excursions. Directs, coordinates, and monitors the work of volunteers.
Duties and Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS
Two years of college, business school, or specialized education focused on seniors. Experience can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
Two years’ experience as a recreation leader or related experience in a public or private recreation program involving the planning, scheduling, implementation and supervision of recreation programs for senior citizens; or substituting successful completion of college level course work in recreation, physical education, gerontology, or a related field for the experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
