About the Program Coordinator Role

The Program Coordinator plays an important leadership role in supporting the school's daily operations and educational programs. This position works closely with the School Director and Assistant School Director to help ensure classrooms are running effectively, children receive quality care and education, and the school remains compliant with COA policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards.

The Program Coordinator also serves as third-level management when the School Director or Assistant School Director is absent.

What You'll Do

  • Support daily school operations, including classroom management, supervision, and staffing needs.
  • Support and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities.
  • Assist teachers in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate student, classroom, and operational records.
  • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with COA policies, state licensing requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Assist with parent communication, conferences, special events, and field trips.
  • Monitor classroom supplies, materials, and resources.
  • Provide leadership and support to teachers and classroom staff.
  • Step into a management role in the absence of the School Director or Assistant School Director.
  • Help create a positive experience for children, families, and employees.

What We're Looking For

  • Meets applicable state and COA age requirements.
  • Meets state requirements for Director Designee, Group Leader, or Lead Teacher, as applicable.
  • Maintains required state in-service training.
  • Previous childcare experience required; management or leadership experience preferred.
  • CDA credential completed or in progress, or a degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, as applicable to state requirements.
  • Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced childcare environment.
  • Passion for supporting children's growth, development, and success.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $40,000–$45,000 annually. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. This role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives and other benefits.
