Job Description

The Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in the social care sector in Broome, Western Australia, by overseeing and coordinating various programs aimed at enhancing community employment outcomes for youth in Broome. This position is essential for ensuring that services are delivered effectively and efficiently, contributing to the overall mission of improving the quality of life for individuals in need. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to facilitate program implementation and monitor outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the delivery of social care program in accordance with organisational objectives.
  • Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to identify needs and develop appropriate services.
  • Monitor and evaluate programe effectiveness, providing regular reports to management.
  • Assist in the development of programe budgets and ensure financial accountability.
  • Organise training sessions and workshops for employers, participants & partners involved in program delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to program activities and outcomes.
  • Facilitate communication between team members and external partners to ensure alignment and support.
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding of new staff and volunteers as needed.

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Relevant qualification in community development, youth work, education, employment services or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience supporting or coordinating programs for young people, education or employment pathways.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal communities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate activities to meet deadlines.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and electronic record-keeping systems.
  • National Police Clearance
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Working with Children check or ability to obtain one

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
