Job Purpose or Objective(s): Help with job searches and employment opportunities to empower tribal members. You will report to the Director of Job for the Day.

Primary Tasks:
1. Determine eligibility for members who can participate in the program by conducting background checks, verification of membership, assistance received, and capability to complete work concerning specific job responsibilities.
2. You will maintain a list of internal employers interested in using participants to fill unbudgeted staffing needs or for consideration of future, permanent positions.
3. Compile and maintain a database of potential, current and exiting participants in program application.
4. Conduct interviews with candidates and compare qualifications to corresponding job opportunities.
5. Track candidate’s performance by visiting worksites to determine viability of future employment or possible reentry into program.
6. You will conduct searches for possible, permanent job placement for candidates who are chosen to participate, if performance exceeds expectation.
a. Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date records per Human Resources, Payroll and other Choctaw Nation partners.
b. Create awareness of tribal and public services offered to inform members of job opportunities that might be available.
c. Maintain budgets and assist the Director in development of additional needed reports.
7. Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
Requirements:
· A High School Diploma or GED equivalent
· Must demonstrate excellent oral and written skills
· Strong computer proficiency with work processing, spreadsheet software, and data processing
· Must have awareness of resources and programs within The Choctaw Nation
· Two (2) years program experience
