SUPERVISES:

There are no direct reports with this position.

Under supervision of the Compliance Manager, the Compliance Auditor is responsible for performing compliance reviews of rehabilitation programs, coordinating fieldwork, and providing consultation to ensure adherence with applicable standards, regulations and licensing requirements associated with rehabilitation programs provided. Employees in this job classification provide compliance-related advisory services, internal training, and both documentation and site specific audits. This job requires knowledge of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation (CARF), Department of Developmental Services, Department of Rehabilitation, and AbilityOne requirements; and the ability to conduct audits, document findings, and collaborate with the Compliance Manager on how to advise management on corrective actions.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

1. *Assists with organizing and performing compliance reviews and serves as a consultant on matters related to compliance with Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation (CARF), Department of Developmental Services, Department of Rehabilitation, AbilityOne, Community Care Licensing, and other standards.2. *Conducts regular internal audits of rehabilitation services programs, including conducting site visits, performing observations and interviews, and reviewing documentation.3. *Performs internal audits of other departments to evaluate their adherence to accreditation requirements and organizational standards that impact rehabilitation programs.4. *Reports audit findings, collaborates with the Compliance Manager to review results; prepares audit reports and assists in presenting results and recommendations to management.5. *Develops and implements programs and policies to ensure procedural compliance, and integrates new standards and regulations as they arise, and ensures that they are understood6. *Offers consultative guidance to management in identifying compliance gaps and assisting in the development of training materials related to applicable standards, regulations and licensing requirements for rehabilitation programs.7. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

•Three or more years of experience in a field that specializes in the needs of persons with disabilities;•Prior audit industry experience; experience in rehabilitation services preferred;•Intermediate to advance computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, database, and presentation software;•Ability to communicate effectively including listening, verbal, and written;•Demonstrate ability to apply critical thinking to identify solutions to problems;•Develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with staff and customers;•Demonstrate mathematical skills including the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations;•Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise flexibility.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Health & Human Services or related fieldA comparable combination of formal education and work experience will be considered.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance: •Viewing computer screen/monitor•Keyboarding•Receiving and making calls

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in a hybrid environment, including an office environment, customer worksite, and community environments with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise. Frequent local travel is required.
