Under administrative direction, performs professional level duties that are devoted to a experiential learning (EL) in Kinesiology and Nutrition. The Program Assistant focuses on the execution of day-to-day EL operations. Responsibilities include managing databases and records, tracking student clinical compliance, maintaining affiliation agreements and approved site lists, preparing routine reports, and creating marketing and communication materials. The Coordinator works independently within established processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely support for students and faculty.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for the Experiential Learning (EL) program, including database management, forms, and data collection.
  • Manage student clinical compliance requirements (background checks, drug screenings, vaccinations, HIPAA training, etc.).
  • Consult with students and faculty regarding experiential learning and clinical placement opportunities.
  • Maintain existing affiliation agreements, assist with new agreements, and manage the clinical site list.
  • Maintain accurate and organized program records and communicate routine updates to departmental stakeholders.
  • Create and update internal EL documents, procedures, and templates to support faculty and staff.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and materials summarizing EL outcomes and participation data.
  • Develop internal and external marketing materials to promote experiential learning opportunities.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree.
  2. Experience in administrative support, project coordination, marketing, and/or student services within an educational setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Marketing, Business, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
  • Skill in oral and written communication. Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, the public, and outside constituency groups
  • Ability to organize and multi-task
  • Ability to supervise and knowledge of administrative concepts and methods.
  • Ability to utilize various computer software packages
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment in order to be able to analyze and investigate a variety of questions or problems
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated interest in student mentorship and collaboration with faculty and external partners
