Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

We are seeking a Program Analyst to support The Long Beach Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (LBVAHCS). In this role, you will work under the direction of the Program Manager to execute data-driven project tasks, support space management initiatives, and assist in long-term planning efforts. You will analyze large datasets, translate space and facility requirements into actionable project plans, and provide analytical and coordination support to ensure informed decision-making and compliance with federal standards.

This is contingent upon the award of the contract. Project duration is expected to be one base year plus three option years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute data-related project tasks under the direction of the Program Manager.
  • Provide leadership and coordination support for basic projects to ensure quality performance and deliverables.
  • Work with spreadsheets and relational databases to organize, manage, and analyze data.
  • Develop charts, visual presentations, organizational charts, training materials, and other project deliverables.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends and support strategic decision-making.
  • Communicate complex technical information to senior management, end users, and technical staff.
  • Attend weekly Space Management Team (SMT) meetings and participate in hospital working groups.
  • Conduct database research using VA systems to support patient projections and space planning.
  • Collaborate with VALB Informatics and support data analytics initiatives.
  • Translate space and facility requirements into long-term project plans (up to 15-year planning horizon).
  • Support space management site surveys, including documenting function, purpose, and ownership of spaces across the campus.
  • Assist in planning and execution of space moves related to renovations, construction, and operational needs.
  • Review assessments and recommendations for compliance with federal regulations and standards.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field of study
  • Minimum two years of experience in data analytics
  • Preferred experience of one year in project management.
  • Knowledge of data mining/data warehouse processes, data modeling, R or SAS, SQL, statistical analysis, database management and reporting, and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of computer aided design programs, like AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or equivalent.
  • Experience using geographic information systems (GIS) like ArcGIS.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
