Under the supervision of the Center Director, the program aide is responsible for assisting in activities in the classroom, kitchen, office or bus to ensure the smooth operation of the EHS/HS program. This position is a 30 hour per week with summers off.
Responsibilities:
· Supports classroom with general tasks throughout the day to ensure appropriate adult-child ratio.
· Responsible for child supervision, assisting with toileting and toothbrushing, engaging children in play both indoors and outdoors, and supporting during mealtime, circle, work time and small group.
· Offers one-on-one support to children with special needs, as requested by the classroom teacher.
· Provides assistance to prepare meals, wash dishes, set up carts on an as needed basis.
· Responsible for supervision of children during bus transportation, as needed.
· Participates in other assignments deemed necessary for the successful operation of the Early Childhood Programs.
