Job Description

Program Aide

Provide support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities during programs.

Part-Time Positions available: M,T,W,Th evenings 5-8pm, W 10am-3:30pm, M & W 2:00-6:00pm, Sundays 1:00-4:00pm & 4:00-6:00pm

Responsibilities Include:

  • Working with individuals to facilitate engagement during programs
  • Implementing group activities
  • Supervise program transportation of individuals to/from program in the morning and afternoon
  • Communicate with supervisor as well as parents & community liaison
  • Foster positive relationships between individuals served and community
  • Ensures safety of participants during programs
  • Encourages independence

Job Requirements:

  • A desire to work with adults with disabilities
  • Ability to provide positive motivation to others
  • Must be caring, dedicated, responsible, and patient
  • Willingness to take public transportation
  • Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including walking for periods of time
  • HS diploma, GED, or equivalent
