Job Description

The Program Administrator II supports the Tulane School of Medicine Office of Academic Excellence and Community Engagement (OAECE) in overseeing the overall implementation and management of office activities. Additional responsibilities will include facilitation and implementation of pathway programs, support in the recruitment of students and trainees, participation in and facilitation of OAECE training programs across the SOM. Program Administrator II will track and report on all activities to determine outcomes and viability of various programs and activities over time. The incumbent will manage the website, office communication and social media outlets.

  • Advanced skills with Windows and Microsoft products, including Office applications (Word, including table generation and formatting; Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Working knowledge related to design, development, and management of surveys, forms, and data collection instruments using applications such as Qualtrics/REDCap.
  • Ability to maintain databases, generate reports and analyze data collected through applications such as Qualtrics/REDCap.
  • Working knowledge of online collaboration tools, video conferencing, Internet and email required.
  • Demonstrated excellent written, presentation, communication, and organizational skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, manage a variety of activities concurrently and follow through assignments to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines yet deliver quality results.
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and be flexible in handling projects.
  • A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and able to work with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels, internal and external to the organization in a high-profile, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a positive, contributing member of a team.
  • Willing to learn new skills and duties as needed.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years in project planning, financial monitoring, and grants management


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • 2 years of experience in project planning, financial monitoring, and grants management.
