Job Description

The Department of Economics in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a term faculty appointment for Academic Year 2018-2019. Rank will be dependent on experience and stature in the field. The appointment is a 9-month term position and will commence on August 27, 2018.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a PhD or other terminal degree. The position will require the incumbent to teach three courses per semester in Economics, including, but not limited to, graduate (MA and Ph.d)) and undergraduate courses in the field of Economic Development and undergraduate courses in economic theory at the introductory and/or intermediate levels. All faculty are expected to hold office hours and participate in College and University activities and service.
