
The Social Sciences Division, Department of Political Science at the University of Chicago invites applications for a tenured faculty appointment in American Politics at the rank of Professor. Candidates must have distinguished records of research accomplishment in the study of American political institutions. Applicants must also demonstrate their effectiveness in teaching and advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will also demonstrate their commitment to providing intellectual leadership to the Department and University community. This position will begin on or after July 1, 2026.

Candidates must have completed all requirements for the PhD degree prior to the start of the appointment.
