The Department of Statistics at the University of Chicago invites applications for a tenured faculty position at the rank of Full Professor in the area of Probability, broadly interpreted to include all aspects of probability relevant to Statistics, Computation, and Applied Mathematics. Applicants are expected to be recognized leaders in their field, with a demonstrated research excellence appropriate to the rank. Duties will include leading research programs that will produce significant contributions to a field, and teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Required: A PhD in Statistics, Mathematics or related field. Candidates must have evidence of leadership in their field, successful independent research, and a demonstrated track record of mentoring PhD students and/or postdoctoral researchers.
