The School of Management within the College of Business and Economic Development at The University of Southern Mississippi invites applications for a full-time, nine-month Professor of Practice in Human Resources Management position starting in January 2027.

The School of Management invites applications for a full-time Professor of Practice in Human Resources Management position, effective January 2027. This role will primarily support our BSBA in Human Resources Management degree program, with a core focus on exceptional teaching, student mentoring, and active engagement within the professional human resources community. We seek a dynamic leader who brings significant professional experience in human resources management to bridge classroom concepts with real-world industry practice.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
A
master’s degree in human resources management or a closely related
field from an accredited business school (AACSB, ACBSP, or LACBE),
including at least 18 graduate credit hours in human resources
management or management.
Significant professional experience in human resources management.
Demonstrated
teaching experience with the ability to support undergraduate and
graduate programs across both online and in-person formats.
Documented eligibility for legal employment in the United States.
