Salary: Level D: AUD $183,859 - $202,556 p.a.

Level E: AUD $236,824 p.a.

plus 17% super and clinical loading of AUD $13,494 p.a.

Your next career opportunity

You will lead the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (DCD) Periodontics program, integrating specialist clinical training, cutting-edge research and curriculum innovation. You will shape national and international standards in Periodontics while mentoring the next generation of specialist clinicians.

What you will deliver:

  • Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of the DCD Periodontics curriculum and assessment across clinical and academic components.
  • Provide high-quality clinical supervision and safe patient care at RDHM, modelling evidence-based, multidisciplinary specialist Periodontics practice.
  • Establish and lead an internationally recognised research program in Periodontics, securing competitive funding and collaborative partnerships.
  • Supervise and mentor higher degree and postgraduate research students, building research capacity across the discipline and School.
  • Provide strategic leadership in national curriculum frameworks, accreditation standards and professional guidelines for specialist Periodontics.

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Hold and maintain current or clearly eligible specialist AHPRA registration in Periodontics, without limiting conditions or restrictions.
  • Possess a completed PhD in Periodontics or a closely related field, with strong academic credentials.
  • Demonstrate strategic leadership in specialist clinical teaching, including curriculum design, assessment, benchmarking and educational innovation.
  • Show a sustained record of high-quality research, including competitive grant success and impactful translational outcomes.
  • Bring extensive experience supervising higher degree and postgraduate research students through to successful thesis completion.
  • Engage confidently with national and international professional bodies, accreditation panels and multidisciplinary clinical partners.
