Professional Support Lawyer – Funds (CDI)

Your responsibilities:

In close collaboration with the partners and associates in the Funds department, you will play a key role in the team’s development of knowledge and learning development.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Supported by the Funds team, you will foster and grow a culture of knowledge excellence and of legal thought leadership and identify legal developments and trends in the market;
• Working together with the existing knowledge and marketing teams, you will be responsible for the preparation of new briefing memoranda, branded client correspondences on latest legal developments and pitches;
• You will coordinate and actively participate in our internal meetings and trainings; you will ensure our lawyers and paralegals are kept up to date on recent legal and regulatory developments;
• You will form an integral part of our firm wide know-how team for education of lawyers both locally and through our various other offices;
• You will prepare conferences including all related documentation;
• You will assist in preparing offers for services and/or client pitch documents;
• You will take the lead in producing new and updating existing documents such as precedents, templates, checklists, articles and memos;
• You will deal with lawyers’ enquiries on a daily basis.

Your profile:

• You hold a Master’s degree in law (or equivalent);
• You have at least five years’ experience in the legal sector, or you have substantial experience as a practicing lawyer/consultant/in house lawyer with a law firm or client operating in the legal market;
• You are fluent in English and French. Additional languages skills are considered an advantage;
• You are a team player, proactive and have excellent communication skills;
• You are organized, flexible and able to manage several projects concurrently;
• You have good communication and drafting skills;
• You are familiar with research tools such as legal databases;
• Good knowledge of "MS Office" tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.).
