Penn State Abingtonseeks an engagingand dynamic candidate to fillthe newlycreated position ofProfessionalSuccess Coach This position will workin the Chaiken Center forStudentSuccess todeliver holistic services thatfacilitatestudent success in and out of the classroomand toassistin the supervision of a team of peer success coaches TheProfessional Success Coachwill work with students individually to develop personalized success plans for academic and general life skills.TheProfessional Success Coachwill also develop workshops, structured academic initiatives, as well as other collaborative opportunities that engage faculty, student organizations, and other members of the campus community
Job Responsibilities:
Provide individual coaching for students on topics of time management, study skills, organizational skills, major and career exploration, internship and job search, professional development, graduate school planning,employerand alumni engagement
Assistin thesupervisionofa team of peer success coaches including training, monitoring, documenting, and assessing performance and program impact.
Maintain Canvas course shells: Peer Success Coaching, Peer Succes Coach Training, & the Chaiken Center Community Hub
Monitor success coachingscheduling &documentation through Starfish
Oversee theadministration ofthe College Success SkillsInventory(CSSI)
Maintain detailed records of students’CSSI resultsand progress in completing the Peer Success Coaching Program
Support the assessment of student success through the rubrics used in progress reflections and conversations
Create success skillsinstructional and marketingmaterials
Develop and deliver workshops, presentations, and online resources for students on a range of academicandsuccessskillstopics
Provide administrative support fortheChaikenCenter for StudentSuccess
Serve as a liaison to academic departments and related services
Performintentionaloutreach and interact directly withunder-served andunder-resourcedstudents, connecting them with resources to navigate barriers to completion& graduation
Maintaina cohesive system ofdocumentationthattracksstudent progress, assessment results, and coaching goalsthrough Client Report Forms and Starfish Outcome Notes.
Lead/coordinate special projects or initiatives as assigned
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
If filled as Student Success Specialist - Advanced Professional, this position requires:
Master's Degree
3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
Required Certifications:
None
If filled as Student Success Specialist - Intermediate Professional, this position requires:
Bachelor's Degree
1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

None

SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $42,100.00 - $67,300.00.
