Job Description

Great people. Greater business impact.

About CAI

CAI Software builds digital work execution platforms and software solutions that help manufacturing businesses operate with greater clarity and control. Our people bring structure to complexity by replacing fragmented, paper-based processes with connected digital workflows that improve visibility, compliance, and decision-making in real industrial environments. With 45+ years of experience and a presence across 10+ countries, CAI combines deep industry understanding with practical technology. Our team consists of ~800 employees worldwide who work across 15 core industries and support 5,000+ customers, guided by sound judgment, long-term thinking, and outcomes that endure.

CAI Business Units and the Markets We Serve

CAI Software is organized into three business units - Graphic Communications, Process Manufacturing, and Discrete Manufacturing – aligned to the markets we serve. This structure allows our teams to stay close to customer needs while operating with the scale and support of a global software company.

This role is part of our Discrete Manufacturing business unit, which delivers software solutions for manufacturers that produce components and assemblies that become part of larger products. Serving small through enterprise manufacturers in industries such as aerospace, automotive, industrial equipment, and engineered products, Discrete Manufacturing focuses on modern execution—connecting planning, production, traceability, and automation to help manufacturers run more resilient, efficient, and predictable operations.

CAI India

CAI India is a strategic investment in the company’s future. Our Bangalore Center of Excellence is a place of ownership, expertise, and accountability. Teams in India work on global products end to end, contribute to key decisions, and influence how CAI evolves as a business. This is not a support-led model, but rather a center designed to lead through knowledge, responsibility, and trust.

We are hiring Professional Services Consultants to join the CAI Discrete COE PS team, supporting implementations of ShopVue — CAI's Manufacturing Execution System for Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, and Industrial Materials manufacturers. ShopVue is CAI's flagship growth product, with ShopVue Cloud launching in beta at the end of 2026 and 84+ named migration candidates lined up for 2027. You will work alongside senior U.S.-based MES consultants to deliver implementations, configurations, shop-floor integrations, and custom extensions.

What You'll Do

  1. Execute ShopVue implementation tasks under the direction of senior consultants — configuration, data setup, testing, and user enablement.
  1. Configure work orders, routings, operations, labor tracking, and production confirmation of workflows to customer-specific manufacturing processes.
  1. Develop and maintain ShopVue customizations, extensions, and integrations with customer ERP, PLM, and shop-floor systems.
  1. Support shop-floor integrations — barcode scanners, label printers, data collection terminals, SCADA and IIoT signals.
  1. Execute data migration from legacy MES or paper-based systems — data cleansing, transformation, validation, and cutover.
  1. Participate in ShopVue Cloud migration projects as that program ramps through 2026 and 2027.
  1. Write test scenarios, execute testing, and support customer UAT.
  1. Document configuration decisions, customer-specific extensions, and implementation of runbooks.

What We're Looking For

  1. 4–7 years of MES /shop-floor execution/ manufacturing software implementation experience.
  1. Strong manufacturing domain knowledge — discrete manufacturing preferred; Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, or Industrial Materials industry experience is a significant plus.
  1. Basic understanding of technologies such as C#/.NET is preferred or any other application language like Java, JavaScript etc, as the role involves reading and understanding code, experience in writing customization or integration code in an

MES context is highly valued.

  1. This role involves interacting with customers to provide initial support

and escalating unresolved technical issues.

  1. Excellent written English for technical documentation and customer-facing communications.
  1. Working understanding of manufacturing fundamentals — work orders, routings, operations, BOMs, labor tracking, production reporting, OEE, and scheduling.
  1. Understanding SQL skills for data investigation, migration, and reporting is a plus.
  1. Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, message queues, and event-driven integration patterns is plus
  1. Experience with shop-floor data collection (barcode, RFID, SCADA, OPC UA) is a plus.
  1. Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and modern CI/CD practices is a plus as ShopVue Cloud ramps.
