The Professional Research Assistant supports clinical and translational research focused on kidney disease This role includes identifying, screening, and assisting with the recruitment of eligible participants, as well as conducting clinical data abstraction through chart review and ensuring accurate completion of research documentation. The position collaborates closely with research staff and investigators, contributes to data analysis and reporting, and supports laboratory activities such as cell culture, organoid-related assays, and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic studies.

This description reflects the general scope of the role and is not all-inclusive; responsibilities may change based on evolving research priorities and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, screen, and assist with recruitment of eligible study participants.

  • Perform chart reviews and abstract relevant clinical data into study databases.

  • Analyze and organize research data using tools such as GraphPad Prism.

  • Support laboratory research, including cell culture, viability essays, and related experimental work.

  • Conduct literature reviews and assist in preparing research reports and documentation.

Work Location:

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Auroa, CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Master’s Degree

  • Recent laboratory research experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience interacting with customers or patients.
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines for GMP, GLP, and ICH
  • Familiarity with research protocols

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or bioengineering.

  • Ability to perform basic science research techniques.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally across multiple stakeholders (patients, healthcare professionals)

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to solve problem, multi-task, and work independently.

  • Ability to design experiments, collect, process, and analyze data.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$50,530 - $52,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
