What are your contributions to the team?

  • Develop Work Package (WP) Statements of Work, in line with the technical requirements of the program.
  • Harmonize the WP schedule and rally the technical teams behind meeting the schedule, including suppliers.
  • Ensure measures are in place to organize and control the tasks, priorities, and budget, with appropriate levels of visibility into issues and risks and associated mitigation plans.
  • Organize and chair Integrated Working Team (IWT) meetings, and periodic reviews while following the BES development phases.
  • Be an active participant in the Integrated Product Development Team (IPDT), and rally active WP participation.
  • Prepare visibility on the Work Package and associated project deliverables, in line with the aircraft-level requirements.
  • Participate in program, supplier, and technical reviews, providing support and visibility to the team and management.
  • Ensure Project Management process oversight and adherence to Technology Risk Level (TRL) requirements, maturity and Exit Gate Criteria, and budget control.
  • Coordinate with other project organizations (Bombardier Flight Test Center, Completions, …).
  • Assist in generic tool deployment across the platforms and prepare Bombardier Project Management policies.
  • Deploy processes for Lessons Learned and Project Management Best Practices across the platform.
  • Provide platform support to the PMO change harmonization process and lead the planning and execution of the required technical changes.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent. A Master’s degree and/or PMI certification is an asset.
  • You have Bombardier experience and good working knowledge of BES (Bombardier Engineering System). In the absence of BA knowledge, you must be able to describe in detail how your previous work experience has prepared you to lead the definition, implementation, and execution of a complex engineering project.
  • You have 5 years or more of relevant experience with multidisciplinary teams in a specific aerospace engineering field.
  • You have experience on one or more development programs, through the various stages of the lifecycle.
  • You have excellent multi-tasking and communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • You have good knowledge of a specific field and broad knowledge of many aircraft systems.
  • You have superior skills in MS Office, including MS Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • You have experience with PLM tools such as Siemens Teamcenter, which is an asset.
  • You are an organized person with leadership skills and you are able to work with a minimum of supervision. You have a logical and flexible mindset, demonstrate initiative, and show both a high-level overview and attention to detail.
