As Professional Medical Specialist, you will take full ownership of a cardiometabolic territory in Johor’s private sector and grow Novo Nordisk’s market share there. You will build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, give them clear, accurate information on our products, devices and indications, and follow up consistently. Your work helps make sure the doctors you partner with have what they need to support people living with serious chronic diseases in Johor, today.

What you’ll bring

You are a driven sales professional who builds strong customer relationships and delivers results in a fast-moving environment. You will bring:

• A university degree in science, business, marketing or an equivalent field.
• At least 2 years of field sales experience in the Malaysian pharmaceutical market, specifically covering the private sector in Johor. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Good medical knowledge and a solid track record of delivering results.
• A self-starting, positive and results-driven approach, with excellent networking skills and the ability to adjust quickly as things change.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel within your territory.

What you’ll do

You will own the results in your territory – from planning to customer follow-up – while working to the highest standards of business ethics and compliance.

• Promote and sell Novo’s portfolio, deliver your annual sales target and build a territory business plan in the format and at the frequency agreed.
• Build effective relationships with your assigned customers, keep customer and call records up to date in the ETMS system, and achieve the agreed sales effectiveness KPIs.
• Use strong product knowledge to negotiate with administrators and payers on sufficient funding for Novo’s products.
• Plan and run medical activities, take part in exhibitions, symposia and congresses, and contribute actively in regional meetings and national conferences.
• Submit sales reports, forecasts, itineraries and other documents on time.
• Report adverse events and customer complaints according to procedure, and follow internal and external requirements, including business ethics and SOPs.

Who you’ll work with

You will join the Cardiometabolic sales team focused on the private sector in Johor, part of the Novo Malaysia sales department. The team works with a performance-driven mindset while keeping strong ethical standards, so our treatments reach the healthcare professionals and people who need them.

Day to day, you will partner with doctors, administrators and payers in private healthcare across your territory. Internally, you will work closely with colleagues in Marketing, Market Access and CMR, combining commercial, access and medical expertise to grow the business in the right way. You will report to Area Sales Manager.
