Job Description

Are you passionate about sales and building strong relationships? Do you want to make a difference by promoting innovative pharmaceutical products that improve patients' lives? If yes, we are looking for a Professional Medical Specialist to join our Cardiometabolic Sales team in Johor.

Your new role

As a Professional Medical Specialist, you have full responsibility and accountability for the assigned region to achieve market share growth. You will build effective relationship with assigned customer along with providing customer with information on our products, devices and indications and ensure timely and consistent follow up. You are also expected to actively participate and contribute effectively in regional meetings, national conferences, and other related meetings.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Promote and sell Novo Nordisk range of products and achieve annual sales target allocated, conduct territory business plan at least at the frequency and format requested by company, maintain up-to-date information on customers in customer master file, and call history in ETMS system, and achieve sales effectiveness KPIs targets set by company.
  • Take part in exhibition, symposium and congress as needed for promotion of the company products. Plan and execute number of medical activities as requested, and ensure to meet deadlines for submitting sales reports, sales forecast, itinerary and other documents as requested.
  • Report adverse events and customer complaints according to procedure.
  • Negotiate and convince administrator and payers on sufficient funding given to Novo Nordisk products while having good product knowledge on all responsible Novo Nordisk products.
  • Work alongside with colleagues from Marketing, Market Access and CMR to maximise the sales of Novo Nordisk Products while adhering to internal and external requirements on business ethics and SOPs.

Your new department

Within Novo Nordisk Malaysia sales department, you'll be part of the Cardiometabolic sales team focused on the Private Sector in Johor. Our sales teams operate with a performance-driven mindset whilst maintaining strong ethical standards, working collaboratively across functions to ensure our innovative treatments reach the healthcare professionals and patients who need them most.

Your skills and qualifications

We're looking for a driven sales professional who thrives in building strong customer relationships and delivering results in a dynamic environment. You'll bring with you:

  • At least 2 years of field sales experience in the Malaysia pharmaceutical market, specifically covering the Private Sector in Johor
  • A University Degree in any science, business, marketing or equivalent
  • A self-starter, highly engaged and positive, dynamic and highly results-driven with excellent networking abilities. You are able and willing to quickly adjust to new situations in a continuously developing environment.
  • Demonstrate good track record and medical knowledge. Willingness to travel.
  • Fluency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (verbal and written).
