Short Description

As part of Bombardier's Digital Engineering transformation journey, you will play a key role in advancing a connected digital engineering ecosystem that supports the full product lifecycle, from requirements definition and aircraft development through certification, manufacturing, and customer delivery.

Working in a highly collaborative and matrixed environment, you will partner with Engineering, IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors to help define priorities, identify opportunities, and support the evolution of digital capabilities that enable the future of engineering.

You will contribute to the implementation of Bombardier's Digital Engineering roadmap while representing key engineering domains such as Aerostructures, Completions, Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS), and Aftermarket Engineering.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Contribute to the evolution and execution of Bombardier's Digital Engineering strategy and roadmap.
• Represent engineering functions and stakeholders in the development of a connected digital engineering ecosystem across the complete product lifecycle.
• Analyze engineering processes, workflows, and digital toolsets while collaborating with Engineering, IT, software vendors, and business partners to identify opportunities that improve efficiency, connectivity, traceability, and decision-making.
• Provide both strategic insight and technical expertise by deep-diving into engineering domains while maintaining a systems-level view of the broader engineering ecosystem.
• Participate in the evaluation, prioritization, and implementation of digital initiatives supporting engineering modernization objectives.
• Support the integration and evolution of PLM, CAD, MBSE, Digital Thread, simulation, and other engineering capabilities that contribute to a connected digital environment.
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions and workshops to gather requirements, build stakeholder alignment, influence decision-making, and support the prioritization of Digital Engineering initiatives.
• Contribute to governance activities by developing recommendations, business cases, and strategies that promote data integrity, lifecycle traceability, interoperability, and the evolution of engineering capabilities.
• Support the exploration of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence and advanced digital capabilities, to enhance engineering effectiveness and innovation.

How to thrive in this role?

• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or related Engineering discipline.
• You possess 5+ years of experience in engineering, engineering systems, product development, digital transformation, or a related technical field.
• You have a strong understanding of the engineering product lifecycle, including requirements management, design, certification, manufacturing, and in-service support.
• You have experience working with engineering ecosystems and digital technologies such as PLM, CAD, MBSE, Digital Thread, simulation platforms, or related engineering systems.
• You possess strong business acumen and can connect technical solutions to organizational objectives and operational outcomes.
• You are comfortable working in ambiguous environments, defining structure, and driving initiatives forward with limited direction.
• You demonstrate excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
• You are capable of leading workshops, gathering requirements, building alignment, and driving organizational change.
• You possess strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and prioritization skills.
• Experience working in aerospace engineering environments and knowledge of aircraft development and certification processes is considered a strong asset.
• Experience acting as a Product Owner, Business Lead, Systems Lead, or Transformation Lead is considered an asset.
• You are bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.
