ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs and/or designs various types of projects including stormwater, flood control and environmental enhancements, calculates and prepares documents for respective projects, including details, schedules and cost estimates for projects, including the selection and application of engineering systems and materials in accordance with the latest governing codes.
Prepares and monitors project budgets moderately complex projects and responsible for project schedules and timely completion of these projects.
Prepares funding applications and preliminary engineer reports.
May serve as a designated client contact.
Prepares bids or negotiations, including pre-bid conferences, interpretations and post-bid evaluations and contract preparation.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Registered as a Professional Engineer in ND or ability to obtain registration within six months
Minimum of eight years of experience in civil engineering
Knowledge of financing programs is preferred
Complete and thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering
Ability to prepare engineering records and to write concise technical reports
Keeps current in job specialty through continuing education
Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable

Compensation:
For Colorado residents: the pay range for this position is $92,160-$126,720. The range displayed reflects salaries for the position based in Colorado locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and factors such as education, experience, credentials, and job-related skills. Certain positions are eligible for participation in incentive compensation programs.
For Minnesota residents: The pay range for this position is $88,320-$121,440. The range displayed reflects salaries for the position based in Minnesota locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and factors such as education, experience, credentials, and job-related skills. Certain positions are eligible for participation in incentive compensation programs.
