The Educator is a Professional Development Specialist within the Education & Development Department that is a transformational leader and change agent. The position exists to promote patient care and excellence through leadership, consultation, and education that benefits both staff and patients. The Educator assesses and identifies educational needs to guide in the planning, development, and provision of orientation, mandatory annual training, in-services, and continuing education for hospital staff.
Assesses educational needs through a variety of methods, both formal and informal, including patterns and trends, for orientation, in-service education and continuing education to preceptors, new employees, and experienced staff.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required, or 5 years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree. Candidates without a bachelor’s degree must obtain one within 3 years of hire.
