Job Description

We're looking for a passionate, innovative and people-focused Professional Development Specialist to join the HR Direct Engagement team. This role is responsible for building capability across HR Direct by designing, delivering and continuously improving learning and development programs that enable our people to deliver exceptional employee experiences.

As HR Direct continues to evolve through digital transformation, this role will play a key part in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to modernise learning experiences, accelerate capability uplift and equip our people to support employees through increasingly complex and digital-first HR services.

Working closely with HR Direct leaders, you will drive onboarding, training, coaching and knowledge management initiatives that support both new starters and experienced team members. You'll be responsible for fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation and operational excellence while ensuring our people have the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end onboarding and induction programs for new starters across HR Direct.
  • Design, develop and facilitate engaging virtual and face-to-face learning programs.
  • Create and maintain learning pathways, training materials, playbooks, process guides and knowledge resources.
  • Partner with leaders and subject matter experts to identify capability needs and develop targeted learning solutions.
  • Deliver coaching, mentoring and ongoing capability support to consultants and team members.
  • Measure training effectiveness and use insights and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and technologies to enhance learning outcomes, personalise development experiences and improve capability programs.
  • Analyse operational trends, learning data and employee feedback to identify capability gaps and training opportunities.
  • Support major change initiatives, technology releases and process transformations through effective learning and change management activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge content to support operational excellence and consistency.
