Professional Development Specialist - Full-time

Position Highlights:

Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a Professional Development Specialist. This role will be great for someone that has a passion and experience in Radiology, enthusiastic about on-boarding new employees, and assisting / supporting the diagnostic X-Ray departments. This specific position supports all locations with majority of the duties will be at Nebraska Medical Center at Omaha NE.

This person will on-board new employees, manage the expanded trainee programs and supporting the diagnostic X-Ray departments.

Shift:

  • First Shift / Full Time Position 40 hours per week

  • Varied Hours and Some weekends

  • Location: Nebraska Medical Center and support off-site locations

Professional Development Specialist Description:

Develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate processes to meet the educational, development and competency need of radiology and radiology support staff through effective use of a variety of learning activities. Align activities with programs and processes the standardized functions for Radiology Professional Development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years current applicableclinical experience in a health care setting required.

  • Bachelor's health care related field degree required.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan development activitiesthat impact positive outcomes andperformance required.

  • Demonstrated effective verbal andwritten communication skillsrequired.

  • Demonstrated ability to instruct and collaboratewith othersrequired.

  • Ability to solve complex problems through awell-ordered approachrequired.

  • Knowledge of systems and change theory, individual, and group behaviors, teaching and learning principles,and research outcomesrequired.

  • Ability to balance and prioritize diverse clinicaland leadership responsibilitiesrequired.

  • Completion of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program in Radiology required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationrequired.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s health care related field degree preferred.
