ROLE:PROFESSIONAL CIVIL ENGINEER

A great opportunity is available to join a well-established Civil & Structural Engineering Company in Secunda, Mpumulanga. 

REQUIREMENTS:

• 10 years' experience in civil engineering. BEng / BSc Eng Degree or BTech / Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Possesses extensive knowledge in various civil engineering disciplines. Registered as a Professional Engineer/Technologist at ECSA.
• Valid drivers licence.
• Experience in industrial (Oil & Gas, Chemical and Power Generation) and mining sectors, will be advantageous.

PREFERRED

• Design experience in roads, water, sewer, and stormwater
• Geometric / Pavement Design would be great
• Experience with work on Provincial / National Roads
• EE would be an advantage but not a requirement
• Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry (Brownfields) will be an advantage

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Preparing quotations and tenders for client submission. Interpret client requirements to appropriately define project scope and deliverables.
• Effective and efficient planning, management, and execution of projects in terms of scope, time, costs, resources and quality. Including changes to project scope.
• Prepare contract administration documentation based on NEC3/ NEC4 requirements.
• Must be able to demonstrate strong civil engineering design skills and principles.
• Execute engineering deliverables to industry standards and client requirements.
• Review drawings. Manage and work with a project team including sub-contractors and vendors.
• Collaborate and liaise with professional stakeholders from various engineering disciplines.
• Maintain and develop client relationships.
