Job Description

Accounting Specialist

Location: Hyderabad

Accounting Specialist will be a part of General ledger team within Nextpower Corporate Controllership team, supporting month end/quarter end close and financials control activities ensuring compliance with company policies and industrial regulations .This role requires attention to detail and expertise in accounting will help maintain compliance with finance regulations and contribute to overall financials stability and success of the organization .

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day -to- day accounting operations including accounting , and month end closing.
  • Prepare and post standard , recurring and ad-hoc journal entries while ensuring timely and accuracy
  • Perform accounting reconciliation and identify the variances and resolve .
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather and analyze financial data for decision making
  • Review the P&L and ensure the transactions are classified in correct ledgers for reporting
  • Analyze financials data including revenue projections and expenditure trend and provide insights to controller
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation.
  • Contribute to achieving KPI’s related to accuracy ,timeliness, and process compliance ,escalating issues proactively to leadership as needed.
  • Lead by example by following established processes and standards while maintaining a positive ,solution -oriented mindset and performing other duties as assigned .

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; BCom/MCom/CA Inter/CWA Inter required
  • 5+ years of experience in General Ledger accounting , month end/Quarter end closing
  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy and ability to multitask
  • ERP experience (Oracle, NetSuite) with demonstrated involvement in system implementation or transformation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing and developing accounting staff.
  • Familiarity with automation tools, BI/analytics platforms, and process improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma a plus).
